Are you looking to pick up the raw signal from a guitar, bass or keyboard without noise and tonal loss, even over long cable runs? That's exactly what the Palmer elde does - simply and reliably. Especially since the elde is a classic passive DI box, and it even has a dual-channel design. This means you can use it for stereo signals as well as for two different instruments.

The inputs are each looped to a THRU Out, allowing the signal to be passed on to the guitar/bass amplifier. For very high level signals, each channel has its own pad switch (-30 dB), so you can also insert the elde between the amplifier output and the loudspeaker. The output signals are balanced and with low impedance, so that they can withstand even longer cable runs without damage. Impedance conversion and balancing is done passively via a transformer, which also provides galvanic isolation. Each channel has its own ground lift switch to eliminate ground loops.

RIVER trave

Reamping is a valuable recording technique used by many sound engineers.

It lets you experiment at leisure by running guitar, bass, keyboard, drum and even vocal tracks through amplifiers and effects pedals. As with many other techniques, you need the right tools.

The Palmer trave is a passive reamping box that requires no external power supply. Inside is a specially developed transformer that converts the balanced line signal into an unbalanced Hi-Z signal with perfectly matched impedance for your guitar amplifier or effect pedal. At the same time, the trave prevents ground loops, which are otherwise almost unavoidable when you combine an audio interface or mixer output with a guitar amp or effects pedal. The input of this reamping box allows you to switch between consumer (-10 dBV) and professional (+4 dBu) levels, and the output level is continuously adjustable, so you can drive your amp or pedals just the way you like it.

The Palmer PAN04A is 2-channel DI box for feeding asymmetrical and high impedance electric instrument signals into a mixing desk_s microphone inputs. It delivers a transformer balanced, low impedance signal to the outputs and eliminates mains hum and interference caused by ground loops. The active switch leaves the frequency response unaffected and achieves a high dynamic range. In addition to 6.35 mm direct outputs and -30 dB switchable input attenuation, the DI box also features a mono output that sums both channels. The PAN04A is designed to be exceptionally robust and is suitable for both stage and studio. It can be powered with 9 to 24 V DC mains adapters or phantom power when two outputs are connected to a mixer.

The Palmer PAN16 is an 8 channel passive DI box in a 19" 1U rack format. Through the special MERGE LINK/IN function, the front LINK output can be used as a second input.The signal is then mono merged with the one from the INPUT jack through to the output. Thus, the PAN16 offers a maximum of 16 inputs. Two PAD buttons enable an attenuation of 10, 20 or 30 dB. The XLR outputs are electrically isolated and balanced via transformer. 8 additional LINK-sockets are also available on the rear panel of the device.
