Are you looking to pick up the raw signal from a guitar, bass or keyboard without noise and tonal loss, even over long cable runs? That's exactly what the Palmer elde does - simply and reliably. Especially since the elde is a classic passive DI box, and it even has a dual-channel design. This means you can use it for stereo signals as well as for two different instruments.

The inputs are each looped to a THRU Out, allowing the signal to be passed on to the guitar/bass amplifier. For very high level signals, each channel has its own pad switch (-30 dB), so you can also insert the elde between the amplifier output and the loudspeaker. The output signals are balanced and with low impedance, so that they can withstand even longer cable runs without damage. Impedance conversion and balancing is done passively via a transformer, which also provides galvanic isolation. Each channel has its own ground lift switch to eliminate ground loops.

The Palmer elde is a high-quality two-channel DI box that is extremely easy to use. Due to its passive design, it requires neither batteries nor phantom power. This makes it extremely reliable and failure-proof. With its robust aluminium/steel housing, the Palmer elde easily withstands rough everyday use on stage, and with its clean, unaltered sound, it also excels perfectly in the recording studio.

The Palmer trave is a passive reamping box that requires no external power supply. Inside is a specially developed transformer that converts the balanced line signal into an unbalanced Hi-Z signal with perfectly matched impedance for your guitar amplifier or effect pedal. At the same time, the trave prevents ground loops, which are otherwise almost unavoidable when you combine an audio interface or mixer output with a guitar amp or effects pedal. The Palmer ilm speaker simulation DI box removes all the uncertainties of amp micing such as microphone choice, acoustic environment and positioning. With a sophisticated filter switch simulating the sound behaviour of a real guitar speaker, it captures your authentic sound, even without a microphone. Its direct signal always sounds the same, whether at home, in the (home) studio, during rehearsals, or on stage, whatever the room size.

The Palmer ilm offers three analog guitar speaker simulation settings, which represent typical guitar speaker models. We'll leave the flowery names to the others; on the Palmer ilm , they are called "normal", "mellow" and "bright".

Generally, the Palmer ilm is looped in between the guitar amp output and guitar speaker; but it can also be operated on the amplifier's line out. For input-level adjustment, the ilm has a pad switch with three settings: 0, -15 and -30 dB.

The output of the Palmer ilm is balanced and transformer isolated which means there is no interference or ground loop hum when connecting it to a mixing console or audio interface. With the Palmer ilm, you can always rely on what really matters: Your music, your instrument and your sound.
