Therefore, the idea was born to equip these devices with the less sensitive TRS (balanced) jack plugs, since three poles can also be used here. In order to be able to connect the devices with the conventional MIDI 5-pin connector to the new devices with jack plugs, we now have adapter cables with both 6.3 mm and 3.5 mm jack plugs. The MIDI Association has defined the new TRS/MIDI Type A standard, which we of course comply with. The cables are available in different lengths.
