MAUI 5

The MAUI 5 is an ultra-compact PA and monitor system in one that comes in at just under 11 kg to supply 800 watts peak performance and a maximum sound pressure of 120 dB. The smallest member of the MAUI family is assembled in a matter of seconds thanks to specially developed multi-pin connectors and only four components. It also boasts extensive sound dispersion and high feedback resistance. The MAUI 5 is easy to carry and fits on any car seat.

The bass reflex cabinet of the 8" subwoofer base also houses the system_s class-D amplifier unit with protection circuits against overcurrent, overheating and short-circuiting, LD Systems LECC digital signal processing, and a 4-channel mixer. Thanks to built-in Bluetooth© technology for wireless streaming alongside use of the microphone, line and high-impedance inputs, a wide variety of sound sources can be connected to the MAUI 5, including playback devices and instruments, such as keyboards or guitars. Separate level controllers, subwoofer and system volume controllers, and a high-shelf filter for adjusting treble to room acoustics ensure perfectly tuned performances. The MAUI 5 is also available in white (LDMAUI5W).

Whether you're a DJ, a live combo, a solo entertainer or at your next party, you need an all-round PA for everyday live performance that delivers professional sound for a variety of applications. Also on your list of essentials: a wide range of connections and accessory options for fast and flexible on-site setup, and maximum reliability. To put it in a nutshell: your PA has to give its best around the clock.

With the DAVE 12 G4X, your search is over. This powered compact PA - which is made up of a 12" subwoofer and two 6.5" satellites (total power: 1460 W peak) - doesn't just deliver a new, modern design with numerous handling optimisations. It also offers an integrated 6-channel mixer with all the important input options you could ever need. This allows you to create a wide variety of setups and combinations of instruments, vocals and audio sources - both wired and wireless - thanks to integrated Bluetooth for easy streaming via a smartphone or tablet.

The first two channels of the mixer are designed as channel strips Here, you can connect either a microphone, a high-impedance instrument - such as a guitar and/or bass - or line-level sources. A 2-band EQ for bass and treble, as well as an adjustable reverb with three presets (small, large, plate), are available for shaping the sound further. Channels 3 and 4 are designed as stereo line inputs and are suitable for keyboards, synthesizers, drum machines or small electronic drum kits.

The DAVE 12 G4X becomes even more versatile when you use the digital SPDIF stereo input or the Bluetooth connection to expand your performance setup with a media player, computer or smartphone, with which you can play and control backing tracks, sound effects or music during your breaks. Speaking of impressive sound, the DAVE 12 G4X has been completely redesigned and developed from scratch. This not only benefits instruments and music, but also speech intelligibility when the PA is used for speech reinforcement. The acoustic concepts include new compression drivers and waveguides for a homogeneous and directional dispersion, as well as FIR filters and state-of-the-art DSP technology for a transparent, colourless sound that brings the DAVE Series to a whole new level. The subwoofer, for example, is equipped with a larger voice coil and an optimised bass reflex system to reduce air flow noise to a minimum.

In general, the DAVE 12 G4X is predestined for flexible use. The selectable mode presets (for classic stereo use or set up with two closely spaced satellites on a T-stand above the subwoofer) contribute to this - the DAVE G4X is convincing in terms of sound in all configurations. For example, the Cluster Mode preset allows the interference-free coupling of two satellites by means of a special M/S split and reproduction of the stereo signal for more headroom and directivity.

LD Systems has also thought of all common applications when it comes to accessories. These range from custom-fit bags and a castor board to the T-stand mentioned above.

Column systems have literally revolutionized numerous application areas for bands and DJs. Never has it been easier to provide a consistent sound solution from a simple, inconspicuous PA system - even in large spaces. The MAUI® 44 G2 is now the practical, powerful solution for the professional segment.

The LD Systems MAUI® 44 G2 is the flagship of the MAUI series column PAs: it offers an enormous 1,500 watts of total output (RMS) with a frequency response of 37 Hz to 20 kHz and a sound-level pressure of 132 dB (peak). With its outstanding sound properties and wide-ranging functions, this compact column PA is perfect for rental companies, musicians, small clubs, street festivals and permanent installations. The cardioid properties of the column elements and the possibility of creating a cardioid bass with an additional subwoofer further highlights the professional nature of this sound system. The column achieves a rear attenuation of 18 dB, the subwoofer 15 dB. The MAUI® 44 G2 also sets the tone when the two-part column is equipped with twelve 3.5" neodymium full-range speakers and four 1" HF drivers with waveguide. The phase plugs on the six upper drivers improve horizontal directivity, reduce distortion and optimise the sensitivity below the crossover frequency for the tweeters. In addition, the four tweeters feature specially designed and optimised compression drivers coupled to a constant directivity waveguide to provide 120° of coverage across the width and 25° of focused vertical directivity. The curved design of the waveguide transports more energy in the high frequencies to listeners standing further away.

In the case of permanent installations or when providing sound for conferences, the TrueWireless_ stereo function makes life a whole lot easier since it enables two systems to be wirelessly connected for stereo reproduction. Bluetooth® streaming in HD quality is no problem at all thanks to aptX_ and AAC Codec, while DynX® DSP technology ensures distortion-free sound reproduction even at the very highest volumes. Total and subwoofer levels can be individually adjusted, providing a perfectly balanced sound in all situations, with a crystal-clear treble, a crisp mid-range and - thanks to the flow-optimised bass-reflex channels - a powerful bass.

Another particularly user-friendly feature of the MAUI® 44 G2 is automatic set-up recognition: if the column is removed to use the subwoofer as a follower, for example, the display automatically jumps to FOLLOWER and functions such as Bluetooth and the volume controls for MAIN and SUB no longer appear.

The MAUI® 44 G2 is absolutely top-class when it comes to transportation and mobile use, too: assembly is quick and simple with no need for cables or stands - special multi-pin connections are used instead. Together, the rugged subwoofer housing made of birch multiplex with polyurea coating and the light, powder-coated aluminium column weigh a total of less than 48 kg - a weight reduction of 20% as compared to the predecessor model. The optionally available transport roller board, carry bag and sub cover do a superb job in day-to-day use. In terms of inputs, the MAUI® 44 G2 offers two XLR IN connections, while two XLR outputs enable a wired stereo configuration of two systems. Meanwhile the SUB OUT can be used to hook up an additional subwoofer, and the power supply is via secure and reliable powerCon connection.
