Selectable transmit power up to 30 mW provides the U500® vocal sets with a free-field range of over 100 metres. They are available in three frequency bands: 584 - 608 MHz and 655 - 679 MHz, where 12 systems can be operated simultaneously, and 823 - 832 MHz + 863 - 865 MHz, where six systems can be operated at the same time. The True Diversity UHF wireless systems are equipped with an automatic scan facility to find the best free frequency, and convenient one-touch infrared synchronisation of transmitter and receiver to facilitate easy set up.

High-contrast OLED displays provide an excellent overview of functions, with indicators for group, channel, radio frequency, and signal strength and battery status. You can even enter individual usernames. In addition to the squelch function, the transmitter_s silent pilot tone ensures fail-safe operation. It protects against interference and mutes the receiver if signals without this tone are present. The U500®_s efficient technology and high-quality components provide clear, distortion-free transmission without latency or artefacts. Low power consumption means that the transmitter can run for up to 10 hours with 2 x AA batteries.

The flagship of the VIBZ Series of mixing desks, the VIBZ 24 DC is designed for superb audio in home studio and live applications. The LD Systems LDMS828 is a mixer, splitter, and booster amplifier in 19_ rack format for flexible live and studio applications.

The LDMS828 has one stereo and six mono channels with individual LED level metres; all inputs and outputs are electronically balanced. Two mono channels are equipped with stereo TRS sockets, the other connectors are XLR sockets. The stereo channel has individual volume controls for input and output and a link button for looping through the signal; each mono channel has volume and panorama controls as well as a button that toggles between the splitter and mixer functions.

TheLDMS828 by LD Systems is impressive not only because of its practical features, but also because of its technical specifications. The ZONE 423 is a full featured zone mixer with 4 line and 2 microphone channels, that can be assigned to a master and a zone output, as well as inputs for an external emergency announcement system and remote-controlled switching mute. Through versatile connectivity, the compact 2U rack device is the perfect control centre for PA systems in food outlets, clubs, hotels, fitness centres, and is also excellent for presentations and DJs.

In addition to the two balanced microphone inputs with variable Gain and Talkover level,12V-phantom power, and a shared 3-Band-EQ, the ZONE 423 offers Line, Phono-, and Aux-stereo connections in RCA format, a FOH-input with balanced stereo jack plugs as well as a USB and 3.5mm mini jack. The USB-port is used as a stereo input and output and allows the mixer to be used as an external audio interface. The four input channels have individual gain controls with signal and peak value display, 45 mm faders for adjusting the volume and cue buttons.

The master and zone sections each have their own EQ, balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs: the master output via terminal block connectors and the zone output using a mono sum switch, and 100 Hz high-pass filter. The stereo level indication can be set to master or zone, and the maximum output level can be preset for both on the back of the mixer. In addition to an adjustable headphone connection for pre-listening, the ZONE 423 also has a recording output.
