The PMBL-ACTIVE is a 2-channel stereo line level merge box that can be used to merge two stereo line signals into one stereo output. One classic application: routing two mixing desks to one PA system. The unit has enough amplification to boost even semi-professional levels accordingly. The input channels are galvanically isolated from one another. Each channel offers a mute switch and the ability to mix the stereo signal down to mono. The unit is housed in a 1 U/9.5" case and has a built-in power supply.

This problem has existed for as long as there have been PA systems! The Palmer tauber Microphone Merge Box solves the problem in a simple way. It has two balanced microphone inputs that are summed via a resistor matrix to a balanced mono signal which is routed to a single XLR output. It's as easy as it sounds!

It can be used for two dynamic microphones or two condenser microphones. Ideally, they should be identical or similar microphone types to avoid any undesirable level differences. Phantom power is passed through to both inputs.

Due to its passive circuitry, the tauber works without any sound colouration and does not require a power supply. The casing and sockets are extremely robust and longlasting.

Sometimes it is necessary to send two stereo signals to one device, for example, when two mixing consoles have to drive a stereo power amplifier. In practice, this is rarely possible without ground loops occurring. The Palmer main solves this type of problem. It mixes two stereo input signals via a resistor matrix, whereby the input pair A is galvanically isolated by a transformer in order to avoid ground loops.

The Palmer main works purely passively. The result is a particularly low noise floor and a neutral sound. Thanks to large transformers, it can handle high-level signals up to +20 dBu without distortion. The transformers also make it possible to assign the input pair A unbalanced while the output signal remains balanced.

The passive mode of operation without a power supply makes the Palmer main particularly reliable and failure-proof. The aluminium/steel housing and XLR sockets are also best suited to the rough everyday life on stage. The Palmer main merge box solves typical sound reinforcement problems in the simplest way with uncompromised sound quality.
